Rooftop Photovoltaic Systems (T.S.E. System)

T.S.E. is an integrated system for the production of energy which consists of three elements: the photovoltaic module with dedicated frame, the support and water infiltration channelling metal conduit, the polycarbonate gasket engaged to the channel with a snap system.

It replaces traditional roofs and provides a perfectly waterproofed coverage which is adaptable to the environment, thanks to the absolute integration of its coloured modules. Efficient, safe and easy to install, guaranteed completely watertight.

Tintegrated system for the production of energyop Solar Energy System (TSE) is a photovoltaic roofing system that combines the function of a PV system with that of a cover for both residential and industrial buildings in a single, technologically innovative package.  

It is designed in order to integrate seamlessly with common construction systems, which can range from tiles for residential roofing to the sheet metal or corrugated aluminium covers mostly used in the industrial field.

 

It ensures the requirements of waterproofing, thermal and mechanical seals and co-planarity of the covers.

Integrated photovoltaic cover system with cutting edge features

V-energy is the first manufacturer in Europe that can boast an integrated photovoltaic roofing system with innovative features, covered by European Patent EP2520876 – kit and method for the installation of a photovoltaic roof.

 

The T.S.E. photovoltaic roofing system replaces the traditional building elements that, in addition to producing electricity, ensure the following typical functions of a building shell:

• Water-proofing and consequent sealing of the building structure;
• A mechanical seal comparable with that of the building element replaced;
• A thermal resistance that does not compromise the performance of the building shell.

TSE V-energy. State of the art for sun and rain

The T.S.E. V-energy system is an integrated system for the production of energy which consists of three elements: the photovoltaic module with dedicated frame, the support and water infiltration channelling metal conduit (Fig. 1) and the polycarbonate gaskets engaged to the channel with a snap system (Fig. 2).

It is designed for new and existing buildings where the traditional roofing is replaced wholly or partially by a photovoltaic roof.

 

Waterproof
With the T.S.E. system it is possible to achieve sloping photovoltaic roofs with a gradient from 7° to 50°, replacing existing traditional roofing such as tiles. The system has been tested with the aid of a water leakage test and certified by the Bureau Veritas Italy SpA – Verification of photovoltaic roof kits.

 

Fast assembly
The installation of the photovoltaic module V-energy version TSE system is extremely rapid, particularly simple, and comparable to the laying of tiles on a traditional roof (Fig. 3).

Coupling in a vertical direction is realized by coupling the system placed on the frame of the photovoltaic module and the existing one on the aluminium extruded profile.
After positioning all the PV modules (Fig. 3), it is necessary to proceed to the next step which concerns completing the installation through the assembly of the sealing system (Fig. 4); after which the coupling operations  between the roof sheet metal work and the photovoltaic modules (Fig. 5 and Fig 6) will be carried out.

The T.S.E. V-energy system, as well as providing total water-proofing to the photovoltaic roof, also promotes the flow and rapid runoff of rainwater thanks to the special shape of the module profiles and the sealing system.


Integration and landscape restrictions

In addition to carrying out a complete architectural integration of photovoltaic, the T.S.E. V-energy system, by using photovoltaic modules with coloured cells, solves a problem that occurs in areas covered by landscape restrictions (and therefore subject to protection by the Supervisory body responsible for architectural assets and landscape, such as town centres and parks).

The T.S.E. system retains all the technical and performance characteristics of the V-energy standard module, as it can use all the modules in the different combinations as a base:

• Cell technology: mono / polycrystalline
• Cell staining:  standard (blue) / black / red / green
• Staining of the back sheet: standard (white) / black / red / green / transparent / etc.
• Staining of the T.S.E. frame module: standard (aluminium) / red / green / black / etc.
• Optional accessories: micro-inverters
